Hi,
I have a built in kitchen aid electric downdraft ceramic glass cooktop and the larger of the 4 heating surface no longer heats up. How does one replace the element, from underneath the cabinet or pulling it off the counter?
Thanks for you help

ANSWER Hello Ms. DIY. You will need to remove the cooktop from the counter top and remove the knob and screws securing the glass top to the burner box. Remove the top assembly and you can access and replace the element 8185643. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.
