I relaced lower eliment it worked for 6 months now it will only heat to 170 and no higher.

ANSWER Hello Easy Bake. test for 240 volts to the element. If it is there, element is bad. If the voltage is not there, but there is 240 to the unit, you will need to replace the control on the unit.You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
