My heating element and its related thermostat test fine - continuity on both, tested removed from the unit and isolated completely.
However the dishwasher doesn't heat dry the dishes. Though seemingly unrelated, I am wondering if the broken latch on the detergent door might play a role, i.e. does the control board read a switch state on the detergent door that then inhibits the heater from being turned on? If yes, then I need to replace the detergent assembly. If not, do you have any other ideas or suggestions?
ANSWER Hello TGP. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control board 99002828 is bad and needs to be replaced. If the heater and the thermostat and wires are good, it is a bad control board on the unit.
