The oven has a sudden drop in temperature but not a total loss. At 500 degree setting it only heats to 200. How do I know if I need a new bake element or if something else is the problem? Do bake elements fail entirely or can they fail by giving lower heat like this?
ANSWER Hello Erica. You will need to test the element Y04000066. It should read closed for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
