The bottom heating element on my upper oven is not heating properly. I want to replace it but it looks like there is a plate over the area where it would 'plug in'. Is it safe to remove it and replace the heating element on my own?
ANSWER Hi Joyce. First remove the power. Then the door and racks. Then the screws to the element mount plate. There will only be enough wire to gently pull it out far enough to remove the connectors. Then you make sure you have tight connections before you remount the element part # Y04000066. Thank You.
