Hi! With controls set at medium, my refrigerator is cold in the freezer and somewhat cold in fridge. There is a little frost on top of the evaporator coils (in the freezer), and some frost on the coil leading out the back of the fridge down to the compressor (although none on the condenser coils). The compressor is hot (can't touch for more than 5 seconds).
Other than this, it appears the evaporator fan is not working. The fan makes a slight noise and movement when i touch it, like something is wrong with the bearings. There does not appear to be anything blocking the fan, and there is no fan (or light) door switch. Do you agree the fan motor is probably bad, is AP3110893 the right part, and do you have any other thoughts?
Thanks very much. Mark
If just a little part of the evaporator coils is frosted and the frost runs out the back wall and down to the compressor then it sounds like you have a restriction in the evaporator assembly.
