Is the gray rubber piece on the feed tube necessary? If so can you purchase just it, or do you have to purchase the whole tube?

ANSWER Hello Christy. This piece is nessary for proper water pressure. If the piece is out, and the middle spray arm is not in that hole, you would loose pressure to the top sprayer. They do not offer these pieces as a separate part. Hope this helps.
