Water was leaking from the bottom of the fridge and the repair guy ordered this "housing" part to replace. Do you think replacing this piece will stop the leak? Is this something I can do myself or do I need to call a repairguy?
ANSWER Hello Miss Fridge. If the unit is leaking from the filter housing, you can replace the part and fix the problem. The filter housing is located behind the toe panel. You will need to remove the screws holding the housing in place and remove the wire from the front. Then press in on the plastic compression fittings and remove the water lines. Once the water lines are removed, the housing will pull out the front of the refrigerator. Reinstall with the new filter housing 216303600 in reverse order. Hope this helps.
