no flame replaced ignitor repirman looked at and all he said was it needed a sensor and the only thing called a sensor is the flame sensor will that flame sensor cause the ignitor not to glow i sure hope so because i bought one and going to install later today if this dont work do you have any other ideas

ANSWER Bob, Yes, a flame sensor 338906 with an "open" circuit, would keep the igniter from glowing. Since you've replaced the igniter, you shouldn't have an issue, and the other possibility would be no voltage to the gas valve, or a faulty set of gas valve coils, but these aren't that common an issue.
