We are replacing our ignitor on the Maytag oven for the 5th time in 10 years. My question is - I've found ignitors that say 2.9 - 3.2 AMPs and 3.2 - 3.6 AMPs. Same model # - what is the difference and can I use either one? Do the AMPs matter and if so, why?
ANSWER Hello Brian. There is a difference for the gas valve. Based on your model number, you need to order 74007498 for the correct igniter.
