Water is standing in the bottom of the dishwasher at the end of the cycle. I checked the drain hose where it attaches to the disposal. I removed a little debris, and drained the dishwasher using a shop vac attached to the end of the drain hose. The water was clean (no additional debris), but after running the dishwasher again, the water still does not drain. Is there a pump, separate from the main motor that could be the problem? Thank you!
ANSWER Hello Marlon,
This style dishwasher has only one pump. When the pump spins the opposite direction, it drains. There is probably still a screen down in the pump assembly that is stopped up or a piece of plastic such as the kind used on individually wrapped cheese that is wrapped around the impeller. As long as the drain is clear, the only other thing that would cause this is a bad winding in the motor. If you pull the tech sheet from behind the kick panel it will give specific instructions on how to test the windings with a test meter.
