At times, the water does not turn completely off after the wash cycle. It continues to flow into the dishwasher at a reduced rate and accumulates in the lower basin and after a number of hours can overflow into the kitchen. I'm not sure what part might need replacement. The float & retainer assembly? This only occurs every 8 or 10 washing cycles.
ANSWER Hello Mike,
There is no spring in the water valve to aid in it's closure. This means basically that if the water pressure is too low or a crimp in the water line that the water pressure has to bleed through, the water valve will be slow to close. If the water valve 8531669 is failing it may not close at all.
