Our microwave stopped working about a week ago. Nothing on it works, not lights, switches, nothing. We checked the basement fuse box and it is fine. I believe it could be the fuse inside the oven. How do we get to it and replace it? Need detailed instructions, thanks!
ANSWER Hello Pam,
To replace the fuse you will first unplug unit. Once unplugged there are 2 or 3 screws on the top front of cabinet that hold in the grill. Remove screws and grill. Once grill is off then there is one screw at top of the control panel. Remove screw and control panel. Once remove you should see a buss fuse. This is a 20 amp fuse. You can pull this out and test for continuity on it. If there is no continuity then you would want to replace the fuse. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
