i have a leak between tub and transmission i think can i fix this with just a washer #ap-4045776 or gasket#ap-4045490-#tub seal#ap4045098 or do i need to purchase the kit also. washer works great.no noise or squeaks, washer is 8-1/2 years old .shold i invest that much in old washer ?your guess is better than mine thanks
ANSWER Hi Larry. Your best bet is to replace the whole kit because of the way the seals mate together and you don't want to have immediate issues after all the effort involved. You will need the part # W10219156 kit. Tool, Nut Seal Part Number: AP3873487 - For spanner wrench use part number AP3854730. The issue of the opinion depends on the big picture of the size of the family usage of the unit. Is there more then just 2 or 4 living in the home and is the unit still in very good shape ? If you think the unit is worth the effort, doing the repair yourself will save you 50-60% on a professional repair estimate or better. Use washer magic to keep the unit up to performance levels, part # TJ131. Use hot water occasionally to help clean the unit. Any unit w/ good shape you usually will repair one good time. With this cost savings you may consider including replacing the belt also part # 21352320. Thank You.
