The gasket I want to replace is on the bottom (freezer) door. Your video shows a much larger door from a side by side. Will I have to remove the door to do the replacement, or is that just to make it easier to see what you are doing?
ANSWER Hello Bart,
The door does not have to be removed to replace the door gasket. As a matter of fact, the retainers do not have to be completely removed, only loosened. Back the screws out about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way so the old gasket can be removed and the new gasket can be installed. You should, however, remove all items from the freezer doo liner before beginning. This makes it much easier to adjust the gasket and liner for the re-installation.
