I'm noticing a build up of black debris just below the door after a wash cycle that must be cleaned out with a rag or paper towel. Upon further inspection, the pump sump gasket seems to be deteriorating. Could this be what is causing the black debris build-up? The washer is just over 10 years and stills runs great. Is the gasket worth replacing?
Thanks for your help.
ANSWER Hello Walt. Yes Sir the door gasket W10542314 is worth replacing as long as the machine is in good running condition. If it is getting on the dishes or causing an odor you could run a sanitation cycle with dishwasher magic TJ104. I hope this was useful information. Have a great day!
