My gasket seal is pushed out in the lower bottom left corner of my right-side opening fridge. Can I remove it and heat it say in a tub of hot water or the sun and reform it or will I have to replace the gasket? There is no rip or tear in it, just misshaped.
ANSWER Tara, Yes you may want to try "flipping" the gasket and reinstalling it after a long soak in a tub of hot water. Once you have it installed again, you may want to apply a thin coat of "vaseline" to the hinge side of the gasket, wash the metal face flange with warm soapy water rinse and dry it, and apply a thin coat on the hinge side of the face flange as well.
