When I open the back panel water is leaking around the drum housing. I got the top lid panel off I removed the agitator, removed the 4 bolts under the agitator. How does the plastic inner drum now come out ?
ANSWER Hi Bill. Try to gently rock the inner basket off the from the hub assy. under the inner basket. There is mostly old soap, fabric softner, and dirt that holds it on. Typically this is the mode of operation. You will need the tub seal assy. pART # 12001598. You normally don't need to use a hammer to remove a tub bearing / seal assembly or to beat it off the transmission casing.Once you remove the agitator and spin basket, you need to remove thee tub nount/seal assembly with a spanner wrench and hammer(or a punch will work in a pinch) Then remove the outer tub mounting bolts and hoses and lift the outer tub up and off the tub support and transmission assembly, then you need to remove the tub support to remove and change the tub bearing, the mounting bolts are screwwed in from the bottom side of the support. Thank You.
