When in the spin cycle, the drum will sometimes not rotate. If I manually rotate the drum a bit (1/8 - 1/4 turn) it will then spin normally. I suspect a bad section in the spin gear. Any suggestions on what parts to purchase before I tear into the washer? Thanks you.

ANSWER Hello Al. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the clutch assembly 8299642 is bad on the unit and will need to be replaced. Also, make sure the drive block on the unit is not stripped out and the drive tube is good on the unit.
