Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
We came down in the morning and found the outside glass oven door in a million pieces. We have no idea how this happened. Is there something wrong with the door? Will replacing the glass insure against the same thing happening? Thank you for your help!

ANSWER Hello Marie,
Anytime man makes anything, since man is not perfect, he cannot make a perfect part. What normally happens to cause this is a temperature change along with pressure on the glass. It can also be caused by an air bubble in the glass. There isn't really anything you can do to prevent it from happening since this is not in the consumers control.
