When I compact the trash it makes a noise like something needs to be greased. Is that possible and something I can do.

ANSWER Hello Paul. Yes, you can uninstall the compactor, and remove the bottom panle off the compactor and grease 675351 the gears on the unit. Make sure the power is disconnected when doing this. Hope this helps.
