Do I cut the wires to the thermostat ap4078076 to test it? My concern is how to reconnect the wires. Typically I would use a wire nut but in the cold environment I'm not sure.
ANSWER Hello Scott. The heater is good. You will need to cut the wires to test the thermostat. You can use butt splice connectors TJMA02014-1 to put the wires back together. Hope this helps.
