How practical would it be to convert a Maytag Neptune gas dryer to electric? Would the electric heater assembly fit? Is the computer board specific to the heat source? I don't have natural gas available where I live, I realize I could convert the dryer to propane easily enough, but I fear it would cost a fortune to run, and there is no propane line in the laundry area.
ANSWER Hi M. I'm not saying it can not be done. But the practicality is the issue. You would need to change the control panel part # 33002536, the control board part # 33003028 , the wire harness part # 33002616 and the heater assy. part # 307178 the heater relay part # 306199 and possibly the front lint enclosure panel with the sensors needed. Please let us know if we can help out further. Thank You.
