The jumper wire attacked to the heating coil housing keeps burning up. The
dryer will still run but won't heat. I keeping replacing the wire and it
will heat again, maybe for a couple of weeks and the wire will burn up again.
What is causing this problem?
ANSWER Hello Ellen. This is caused by a bad vent, or a weak crimp connection on the wire terminal. Make sure the wire is crimped good, and the terminal is a high temperature terminal and the vent is clear. Hope this helps.
