It seems like it takes longer for the clothes to dry. I cleaned out all the lint when I replaced the drum rollers. I also replaced the vent hose. I need to order the roller for the pulley and want to get everything at the same time. I don't want to break down the dryer 2 times. I did take the front panel off and put the dryer on and I can see the heater element get red but in a few mins it goes off and a few mins later I see it glowing again. Is this normal? If not what parts do I need. Thanks for the help.
ANSWER Hello Rick. Yes, it is normal for the heater to cycle on and off. You will need to test the temperature coming out of the dryer vent. It should cycle between 110° and 155° on normal heat. If so, the dryer is fine and the vent hose may have been kinked or clogged. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
