Recently moved to new apartment and had to change from 3 to 4 prong plug.
When we turned on dryer, worked fine except it seems to heat too good. I noticed that the heater seems to be running when dryer isn't. If timer is not at zero, door is open, heat is still being produced. It turns off if the timer is moved to zero. Even heats when door is open. also, heat seems excessive - even at no and low heat settings.
did something get broken during the move or is this an issue with attaching the new plug? if something is broken, what could it be and how do i fix? thanks for any help you can provide!
ANSWER Hello Jim. The heater is shorted on the dryer and will need to be replaced on the unit.
