My dryer was blowing a breaker so I opened it up and found that my heating element was toast and broke so I replaced it, but my dryer continues to blow the breaker after being on about 5-7 minutes. I ohmed the high limit thermostat and it seems to have continuity, any thoughts?

ANSWER Hello Jason,
Excessive current flow trips breakers. The breaker could be bad, the receptacle could be bad, and I would also check the terminal block (where the power cord connects to the terminal block).
