Dryer is burning clothes and the vent and vent hose are totally clear and only about 5 feet long anyway. Is this a thermostat, or something else? What parts do I need?

ANSWER Hello Chris,
You will want to check the cycling thermostat and the High limit thermostat. One of the thermostats is not opening when the unit reaches temp.
