I replaced the lower bake element. When I turned oven on, it immediately tripped the fuse. I turned fuse back on, now the oven heats up and continues to heat up...I turn it off after it passes 500 or so...
I also replaced the temperature sensor. still the oven heats up and doesn't stop.
the upper oven works fine.
Could it be the hi-limit thermostat?
ANSWER Hello Sally,
The high limit will cause the unit to shut down when it reaches a certain temp. The clock assembly W10166967 would be the most likely cause. Relay on the control sticking open.
