My ice maker is not getting water to the ice maker, what should be done to correct this problem? The door shelf close is missing.

ANSWER Hi George. There is a fill tube that goes to the back of the ice maker. If it is frozen shut with water then you need to remove it from the back of the unit and rinse it out under the sink. Dry it completely before reinserting it. If you find this issue is caused by a kinked water supply line. It usually is a sign of a bad water valve part # 218470300 that will not close all the way and allows dribbles of water slowly back filling and freezing the fill tube. Thank You.
