My ice maker will not dispense ice. When the ice lever is depressed it does not make a noise. The actator can be truned by hand. How do I know if the problem is the dispenser motor or the solenoid or something else?

ANSWER Hello Kathy, You will test for power to the auger motor with the light switch taped closed. If there is power there, and the motor does not turn, you will need to order and replace the ice dispenser motor in the unit.
