Why did new igniter light up and sparked while lit? Then lit up for short time. Then did not light at all. Will not light up now. removed igniter and saw a piece on the coil burn off causing the coil to have a hole in it. Does the hole in the coil mean it can not get the current to light up? What would cause this to happen?
In Trouble
ANSWER Hello. It sounds like you may have cracked the igniter 4392003 during the install and it has burnt out. These are very brittle, and if you bump them, they will crack. You will need to replace the igniter. Hope this helps.
