My broiler burner does not work what would cause this the stove is 5 years old but it has not worked since about the first year of use.

ANSWER Hello Ron,
You will want to check your broiler ignitor. You can do an amp draw and should have 3.2 to 3.6 amps. If the amp draw is not within range then you would need to replace oven ignitor 74007498.
