Thanks for the prompt response. So basically a power surge may ave blown both the 40w and the 1100w inveter boards? Ouch$$. From what I read about the problems with these particular models on line, I guess I was lucky to have gotten 7 years out of it. There is a larger component on the 40w board that appears to have some brown oily looking stuff on its outer circular wrappper. I suppose that componet could be a issue on the board?
ANSWER Hello Aaron. When you have a surge, it can damage several different parts and cause different issues. There are 3 different boards that can be affected. The display 8205237, and both inverter boards 8204989 and W10217710.
