this is a follow up question to one that i asked a week or so ago regarding the door latch. the oven is not getting up to temperature. You suggested the door latch be replace and said to check the wiring. Is there a specific wiring harness that i should check? How do i get to the wiring and what am i checking for? My problem also seems to be intermittant.

ANSWER Joe, You will want or need to check several wires. First, check the orange wire(connector P8 pin 4) check and make sure the wire and connection is tight at the control board and the door lock motor, and the switch should have a closed circuit in the off mode. You will then need to check the P7 connector at the control board, P7 pin 1(brn) to P7 pin 3 (tan) should be a closed circuit. P7 pin 2(blu) to P7 pin 3(tan) should be an "open" circuit, unless the door latch is in the locked position. You haven't mentioned any error codes in the display, and if the problem is intermittent, we need to look for a loose connection or weak circuit. We'll send you some wiring information, so you will have a better idea of what occurrs in a cycle, and can trace the wires as needed.
