Am original owner from February 2000.
Am trying to engage clean command, and latch does not engage. How can I find out of latch is bad, or if system simply is not reading command to clean?

ANSWER Hello Steve. Check and see if there is power coming to the door latch assembly 71001845. If there is power, and the unit does not lock and engage, you will need to replace the door latch assembly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
