I just replaced the the lid switch and when I select a wash cycle nothing happens, but if i turn it to rinse or spin it works. It just doesn't want to start from the beginning of any selected cycle.

ANSWER J Ray, The place to start is the water temperature switch 8577786, and check the wiring harness routed between the temperature switch and the delay control timer 8576472, mounted on the back of the regular timer. If the printed circuit board inside the temperature swith has a failure, it can disrupt the timer sequence, as well as not allow the washer to fill and agitate in the wash cycle.
