The filtered water, from our Maytag, tastes/smells bad. Replacing filter helps but not for long. Refridgerator water line also feeds Kitchen sink which doesn't have bad taste or smell. Refridgerator purchased new, only 3 years old. Filter replacement helps for approx. 2-3 months. I don't notice the smell / taste in the ice. Any ideas?
ANSWER Hello Ken. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like you will need to replace the water tank and head unit 12956202. When you replace this, be sure and install a new filter as well. It sounds like there is an issue with the tank aasembly.
