After cleaning the oven the interior oven light wasn't working. I checked the bulbs and they are working. I called Kitchenaid's service repair department and was told that my contract didn't cover bulbs but my question is that it must be something else wrong with the oven. Is there a switch or fuse located in this oven. It's like telling me my car is running and is fine but the headlights don't work! so how can I use the car at night? Could you shed some light on my dilemia? Is there a part or switch that needs replacing?
Thanks in advance for your help.
ANSWER Hello Richard. Most likely the transformer 9760588 has failed in the unit and is not sending power to the bulb. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
