It seems that the defrost cycle is not working properly. The whole refrigerator warmed up until I unplugged/replugged and cleaned off some minor ice accumulation in the freezer area by the vent. It then worked properly but I don't know for how long.
I have been told that I need to change the control board (part AP4358837) but I can't see how to remove the housing unit, which looks like it is part AP4364742. What is the secret? Am I on the right track? Anything else need to be replaced?
ANSWER George, To access the refrigerator control board you will need a flat blade screwdriver to press in on the two(2) plastic tabs at the ceiling on the backside of the display/control box in the front of the refrigerator compartment, You will also needto pull down on the corner of the box, while pressing in on the tabs, Be careful, Thanks and Good Luck
