Hello I was wondering I have a Jenn air and I think it's a jdr8895aas. I just replaced the oriface and its a 12k but I need the valve because it is stuck and I can't turn it on. Probably due to corrosion from the salty air . What size valve do I use the 16 or 9? Also my ingniter doesn't click or work how do I determine what part is bad.
ANSWER Hello Stefan! You will need the 9k burner control valve 12002269, this is also used as the 12k burner valve. Make sure that the area around the igniter is not dirty from food/debris. If it is clean, try replacing the ignitor- part number 8523793. If the spark module ignites the other burners and this one just doesn't click, you can try putting a good igniter in it's place to verify it's just the igniter. If it doesn't work he could have a bad switch or module. Hope this helps. Thanks.
