My Maytag washer runs fine most of the time but the motor quits some time like it is overheating and shuts off for about 30 min. Then I can reset it and it will finish the cycle. Do I need a new motor or is there a way for me to trouble shoot it myself?

ANSWER Hello Charles. It sounds like you have found the problem. If the motor is getting hot and shutting off, then when it cools down, it runs again, you will need to replace the motor. Hope this helps.
