My ice bucket fills with ice, when you push the button on the outside of the door it sounds like the motor starts to work but nothing is dispensed. Looks like the plastic bucket is cracked and the round plastic piece in the back may be stripped. The metal coil pops off of the plastic piece even after taking apart and putting pack on correctly. What do I need in order to fix the ice dispensor so that it will work? properly again?

Brandon for Model Number ARSE67RBW

ANSWER Hi Brandon. Remove the ice bin completely. Tape the inner door switch shut. select cubes. Install a glass into the door paddle actuator. Then see if the auger motor is turning. If so then ask for crush and see if the auger reverses rotation and the crush solenoid will lift up harshly. Release the cup. Reach in and see if the auger motor coupling is not stripped on the shaft. If it is it is part # 10114901. The auger motor is part # 12002089. As far as the auger is concerned , if the auger and front cutter teeth are OK, then you will just remove the front bucket cover part # 12571606 and replace the rear coupler part # D7749401. If anything else concerning the auger is bad then you need to rep[lace the whole assy. part # 12740302 and drop this completely into your bin. Thank You.
