My compactor works fine when in normal mode. When in solid mode, it will only run if you hold down the selector knob to the start position. If you let up on the selector knob, the unit immediately stops. If you hold it down long enough, it just cycles all the way down and then back up. If you let go of the selector knob half way through the cycle, the compactor stops at the bottom, where it should stop. How do I test the switches to determine which one I should replace?
