My detergent door sometimes does not open when it is supposed to during the China cycle. Do I need to replace this wax motor? If so, how?
ANSWER Hi Larry. If the detergent door does not work only on the china cycle then it will not be the wax motor part # 99001807 . It can be that the China cycle in the timer part # 99001947 w/delay is bad this is for serial # 18..... and after. The timer part # 12001534 is for serial # 10-14..... .Has any of the 8 button control switch part # 99001864 stuck half way and not allowing the selection to the timer? Use a volt meter part # TJMA-DM1 and the wiring diagram in the toe kick area to help diagnose. The wax motor should ohm out between 400 and 600 ohms. Thank You.
