Just replaced the mounting stem/boot seal kit on my good ol' Maytag. Followed install instructions from a pro on Youtube (at a reputable appliance parts site). The leak stopped, however, the spin cycle is now extremely noisy, even with a water-only load. The feet are balanced. What did I miss?

ANSWER Hello Chris,
It may be that the tub bearing 6-2040130 is bad. When the tub bearing goes bad there will be a loud grinding type noise.
