I am looking at a replacement transmission for a Whirlpool LSQ9110KQ0 washer. However, before I purchase, I'd like your help to determine if my old transmission is bad. Washer is making banging sounds on spin cycle (but everything works).I have removed transmission and noticed that the drive shaft is loose that the transmission mount (bad bearings?). Is this a definite indication that the transmission is bad?
If the drive shaft is loose due to bad bearings then yes the transmission would be faulty and need to be replaced. The transmission part number is 3360629. You will also want to look at the drive block as it could be damaged.
