My washer is a Roper model, It washes, and rinses good, but when it comes to spin at the end of the rinise cycle I have to turn the drum to get it to spin and when it does spin it spins slow, What is the problem with it?
ANSWER Gail, The model number you supplied is not correct. But based on your description, you do not need to replace the transmission. You will need to check and repalce the clutch assembly 285785, check and clean the brake pads and varify the rollers are not distorted or "stuck" 285438.
