I just purchased and then replaced the neutral drain transmission on my washer because it would not engage the spin cycle. I does now. thank you. However, when the spin cycle is complete, it does not brake or stop spinning like a normal washer. Rather, the inner tub/basket continues spinning for about 15-20 seconds longer than it should. I think my brakes are bad? If so, what part do I need and would I access that part using the same procedure as the neutral drain transmission repair?
ANSWER Hello David. If the brakes are bad you will need to order and replace the clutch on the unit. You will access the same way.
