I have 3 questions - Question #1 How is Part # 22 (Nut, Spray Arm Support, Item#:AP4294098,Manf#: Y912930) connected ? Question #2
I am trying to remove this SprayArm Support Nut but I dont want to force it. Does it UNSCREW ? or is held fast by a locking mechanism ?
What I have done so far - I have removed ARM-SPRAY, Item Number: AP4433855, Manufacturer's Number: 6-904026
AND STRAINER, Item Number: AP4294095, Manufacturer's Number: Y912917 Apparent Problem - cant seem to get Spray Arm Support NUT(Part #22) off, so as to REMOVE(Part # 39) Spray arm support - Dishwasher lower wash arm and spray tower support. Item#:AP4293905,Man#:Y912900). Reason - Part #39(Spray Arm Support) seems to just spin in place. Root Problem -
part #39(Spray Arm Support) is Broken Off at the Upper Threads which Screws into Part #42(NOZZLE, "JUMP-UP", Item#: AP4293159,Manf#: Y912912). Question #3 So in essence I am trying to Replace part #39. But I am trying to get it disassembled. Part #22 seems to held fast AND I dont want to break it off.

ANSWER Troy, The Spray Arm Support Nut Y912930 unscrews (turn counter clockwise) from the metal shaft on the top of the volute 6-905321. Are you sure the top of the support arm threads are damaged, and the Bottom POP UP nozzle [ did not break off at the threaded portion of the nozzle Y912899 ? Once you remove the spray arm and support arm nut, you'll need to remove the pump cover / strainer Y912917 (three screws) Then you can lift the support arm off the shaft of the volute.
